En una de sus caras encontramos a la Virgen de los Rayos, representada con los brazos abiertos en actitud maternal. Sus manos extendidas evocan las gracias que María derrama sobre quienes acuden a ella con confianza. Los tonos azules y rosados y los delicados detalles dorados resaltan sobre la luminosidad natural del nácar.
En el reverso aparece San Judas Tadeo, apóstol de Cristo y tradicionalmente invocado como intercesor en las causas difíciles y desesperadas. Pintado con su característico manto verde, sostiene la imagen de Cristo sobre su pecho, uno de sus atributos iconográficos más reconocibles.
Ambas miniaturas están pintadas completamente a mano sobre nácar natural, convirtiendo una superficie de apenas unos centímetros en una verdadera obra de arte en miniatura. La montura de plata 950, con sus delicados arabescos y terminaciones de inspiración antigua, aporta personalidad y un aire romántico muy propio de Christiania.

Our Lady of the Rays & Saint Jude Thaddeus Double-Sided Medal
A tiny jewel of remarkable detail. This reversible teardrop-shaped medal brings together Our Lady of the Rays and Saint Jude Thaddeus, two beloved devotions associated with hope, intercession, and trust in God.
One side features Our Lady of the Rays, portrayed with her arms gently extended in a maternal gesture, symbolizing the graces Mary pours upon those who turn to her with confidence. Soft blue and pink tones and delicate golden accents beautifully complement the natural iridescence of the mother-of-pearl.
On the reverse is Saint Jude Thaddeus, Apostle of Christ and traditionally invoked as the patron saint of difficult and desperate causes. He is depicted in his characteristic green garment, holding the image of Christ close to his chest.
Both sacred miniatures are entirely hand-painted on natural mother-of-pearl and set in 950 silver. The delicate ornamental scrollwork surrounding the teardrop-shaped miniature gives the piece an antique-inspired, romantic character.
